Built from the workflow, not a feature checklist
Photography software can grow into a second business to manage: another library, another upload, another set of client settings. We begin by mapping the actual handoff and remove everything that does not help it.
That approach produced Pique, a focused proof-selection layer for photographers who already organise client proofs in Dropbox and need exact filenames back for Lightroom.
Pique: Dropbox client proofing
Choose a Dropbox folder, set an open, exact or maximum pick count, and send one private gallery link. The client selects in a mobile-friendly browser; Pique returns the unchanged JPEG filenames.
Pique is not a website builder, print store, CRM or final-delivery archive. That boundary is the product: it can fit beside the systems a photographer already trusts.
What 85frames looks for
The best candidates are frequent, easy to explain and disproportionately annoying. They often sit between established tools: the moment filenames cross from a client back into Lightroom, or production material needs to become a consistent social asset.
If the useful version can stay narrow, respect the photographer’s existing file ownership and save visible steps on every job, it is worth investigating.
